A fabulous diamond and turquoise ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This stunning platinum-topped ring is made of 18kt yellow gold and depicts a carved turquoise scarab beetle surrounded by a border of old Rose Cut diamonds. The scarab has wonderful hand-carved detail, a rich natural?color and is prong set in 18kt gold. The surrounding 20 old Rose Cut diamonds are set in platinum and have a total approximate weight of .50ct tw. The inside shank of the ring is stamped "PLAT" and "18CT". This wonderful and rare piece would make a lovely addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 7 but it could easily be resized. The scarab beetle measures a little more than 3/8" wide, a little more than 1/2" tall and has a depth of 1/4"
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold, platinum or to the scarab beetle and all of the diamonds are intact.
